"Music For The Whole Family"

Armed with an abundance of talent and fueled by an unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel, The Browders are rapidly becoming one of Christian music’s most acclaimed groups.  The family band’s previous album spawned three #1 singles and paved the way for their latest album Time Machine which has produced 7 consecutive #1 songs on the Singing News charts!

The Browders’ musical journey began in Hiltons, Virginia. "We have a lot of history where we’re from," says David.  "We come from the hometown of the original Carter family and we implement that in our concerts.  We’ll do like a little acoustic set that takes you back to that front porch style of picking.  We can’t ever forget our roots."

Family patriarch Tommy began singing gospel music at age five despite being stricken with polio.  "I was about 9 or 10-years-old in a handicap school and my right hand was completely paralyzed from polio," he recalls.  "I was taking guitar lessons and after much prayer and trust in God---and believing that He would be able to have me play---one day my thumb started working and then my fingers started working.  He gave me enough strength in my right hand to be able to play."

In 1990, Tommy felt God calling him to tour with his family and since then The Browders’ career has steadily gained momentum.  He is joined by his sons Matthew, David, and Matthew's wife Sonya.  Their 2006 album Be a Light yielded the group’s first top ten hit "Stand Up For Jesus."  Their 2009 album, The Message, produced seven top ten singles, including three No. 1 songs---"Praise You In This Valley," "Message Of The Cross," and "Land Of No Goodbyes."

Voted "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" at the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards in 2013, and 2014 Dove Award Nominee for "Inspirational Song of the Year."

Serving will be from 11:45 am – 1:30 pm | dine-in or carry out

Epworth UMC is known for our noodles served at Cumberland Covered Bridge Festival and this is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious homemade chicken and noodle dinner prepared in the same tradition.

Dinners include chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, beverage, and dessert.

Free will donations for the meal will be gratefully accepted for the EUMC Concert Outreach Ministry Fund, which enables us to offer concerts at the lowest admission charges possible.

What a privilege it is to serve and worship together at Epworth UMC! We are a small-town family church that is simply seeking to know and love God, and to share that knowledge and experience wherever and whenever we can.

We provide many opportunities for worship, study and fellowship for all ages... along with a great musical heritage! We do not presume to have all the answers to the questions we all face in this life, but we
encourage you to come and grow with us as we seek those answers and learn to trust God to provide for all of our needs.

Please come and visit us at our location at 105 W. 8th St. in Matthews,
IN. We promise to make you feel welcome!
